Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.
This Labor Day weekend, besides great barbeques and time with good friends and family, we celebrate labor. But even the word itself often times has connotations that seem contradictory to celebration. However, when viewed in the right light, it can be one of the most liberating factors of our lives.
Greg Brenneman is one man I know who embodies this sentiment and shares his insights with all on a daily basis. As the one time CEO of Burger King and Continental Airlines he lead both companies to success keeping a few things always in mind: The Golden Rule and having fun in every aspect of work and life.
His appearance on Between the Lines, and our conversation about his book Right Away & All At Once, inspired so many viewers I want to share the entire episode with all my readers around the world and viewers who might not have seen the show or want to bask, once again, in Greg’s wisdom on this special holiday. Just hit the play button and enjoy.
Plus, airing this week on our PBS stations, Sandra Tsing Loh and our conversation about her book The Mad Woman in the Volvo.
Have a great holiday and may you always find love in your labor,
